Joining as Ph.D. students

To pursue your PhD here at NIT Jalandhar, you have to hold a MSc/MS degree in Physics, and pass one of the competitive national-level examinations, such as CSIR/UGC NET with JRF, GATE, JEST, etc. Qualified candidates will have to go through the admission procedure in place at the Department of Physics at NIT Jalandhar, including an examination and an interview. If you are interested, please get in touch via email prior to applying formally through the NIT Jalandhar web Portal for more information on research topics and availability of positions. Use "PhD Position in CQMBP Group" as the title of the email, and also attach your CV.

Applications are invited from eligible candidates for the position of Junior Research Fellow (JRF) in the Anusandhan National Research Foundation ANRF-SERB, Govt. of India sponsored research project entitled, “Structure and Dynamics of Strongly Correlated Quantum Fluids” under SERB-Core Research Grant (CRG) Scheme (CRG/2023/001573-G) undertaken in the Department of Physics, NIT Jalandhar. The project work is in the field of theoretical condensed matter physics.
