The College of Political Science and Public Administration Student Council, elected by students of the said college, is supreme of all organizations within the college and is in the authority to protect and promote students’ rights and welfare, to uplift students’ social awareness, and to cultivate student nationalism by serving as students’ representative in voicing out students’ views and opinions, addressing student concerns and by educational discussions
In the New Normal, the Student Council refortified the organization by adapting to the needs of students in this new condition in the academe. By restructuring the Committees, we assured that students will have the: Protection and proper stage to address the grievances, a better communication line where the dissemination of information is real-time and factual, a creative way to exercise the rights to speak and reflect the social happenings, a virtual stage where laser-focused journalism is promoted, and a circle where education and advocacies are held high.
The Council is composed of students who not only excel in leadership but academically as well, for it is on the belief that a student leader can serve as a good role model by exemplifying boundless leadership skills.
The New Student Council with its dictum “Critical analysis towards sincere service” is bound with the mandate to uphold the protection of rights and academic advancement of the students of Political Science, Public Administration, Political Economy, and International Studies. Four different programs under one college, united with the brand #FightwithHonor.
In this new era of the Student Council, we call not only for the interest of the students but for everyone in the society as we are in the oblivion of the social-injustices as we rest in our homes due to this pandemic. It is rightful to declare that it is not just the students who should not be left behind, but also those who are voiceless members of our society.
