The degree program herein shall be called the Bachelor of Public Administration major in Public Financial Management (BPA PFM) program. BPA PFM aims to develop public servants, leaders, and change agents with the required competencies and values to serve as professionals with orientation in financial management in government, civil society, and international development organizations.
BPA PFM prepares its graduates for technical and administrative positions. Graduates can look forward to successful careers in Public Financial Management and eventually in executive and policy-making positions in government, civil society, and international development organizations. It is also good preparation for those interested in taking up Law and or Graduate Studies.
Demonstrate knowledge and understanding of fundamentals of the study and practice of public administration and good governance;
Manifest high appreciation for the imperatives and challenges of public service in the context of Philippine and global realities;
Practice ethical values for public service, adherence to the principles of accountability, responsiveness, nationalism, and democracy;
Practice a strong sense of duty to promote and protect the public interest, especially for the depressed and the marginalized communities;
Exhibit skills in management including planning, implementation, monitoring, human material, and resource management for government and civil society organizations;
Engage in scientific and policy research and national decision-making.
Display responsiveness and resiliency through enhanced life skills and multiple intelligences toward lifelong learning
Upper 50% of those who passed the PUP College Entrance Test (PUPCET)
85% or better Senior High School Average.
Interview by the Dean, Chairperson, or a duly authorized representative
In addition to University policies regarding academic delinquency, incoming second year students of the department must have a weighted average grade of 2.50 in all subjects.
