Basic life support is a level of medical care which is used for victims of life-threatening illnesses or injuries until they can be given full medical care at a hospital. Basic Life Support training and certification is commonly required of Health Care professionals and other working professionals whose jobs or volunteer positions place them at risk for needing to provide CPR to a co-worker or visitor.
