Founded in 2007, the Liberal Studies Club was born out of the College of Education and Integrative Studies (CEIS). Rooted in the long-standing tradition of a Liberal Arts education, we recognize the value of a well-rounded, equity-centered academic foundation.
While our name honors our Liberal Studies roots, we proudly welcome all majors within CEIS, including Early Childhood Studies, Single Subject Credential Pathways, and ITEP. Our club reflects the diverse journeys future educators take, supporting students not just in their teaching goals, but also in cultivating critical thinking, social awareness, and creative learning. The work we do today shapes the classrooms of tomorrow.

The Liberal Studies Club is a space for future educators to connect, grow, and thrive, both in and beyond the classroom. Whether you’re exploring teaching, applying for credentials, or just curious about the field, we’re here to support you.
Our mission is rooted in four core goals:
Keeping students informed with real-time updates on education programs, opportunities, and resources.
Creating a safe, supportive environment where every member—new or returning—feels seen and valued.
Offering hands-on field experiences that connect you with real classroom environments and education professionals.
Hosting fun, light-hearted activities that help balance the stress of school with friendship and joy.
We’re more than just a club, we’re a community.
If you’re looking for connection, purpose, and inspiration for your future as an educator, you’re in the right place.
