It’s with sadness and grief that we write this. Yesterday, dad lost the love of his life and best friend of 51 years, our mom, Christine Parisi. Her passing felt sudden and unexpected to us. She was surrounded by those she loved.
Words can’t describe how much we’ll miss her. She was a force of nature and lit up every room with her sunny smile and humorous wit. She always told it like it is, and always knew how to make people laugh.
We know that mom touched many lives, and we’re devastated to have to break this news. She was well loved and will be missed by many.
Details of her memorial will be posted here. We want to have a celebration of her life around her birthday on July 10 2024, and we will update this posting regularly.
Please no flowers or gifts. If you would like to, you may make a donation in her name to these charities:
Thank you to everyone who was a good friend to Mom. We are forever grateful for the impact you made on her life.

Chris's granddaughters -- Zelda, Gertrude, and Avia -- were all loved deeply by their Baba. The girls are old enough now to have lifelong memories of Baba: snuggling in bed with her in the mornings to watch cartoons, playing nature and bird bingo, making nonsense jokes and laughing their heads off, admiring her garden, singing at the player piano, trying on her costume jewelry, and eating cookies together. They love and miss their Baba, and they always will. They carry her around with them in their hearts.

May her memory be a blessing.

Joe, I am so sorry and sad to hear of Chris’s passing. As you know, we met in a community education Mah Jongg class about 4 years ago. At the end of the session Chris asked if anyone wanted to continue playing and graciously offered your home as our meeting place. What fun our little group had getting to know each other and playing Mah Jongg every Thursday afternoon. Meeting you was an added bonus, as were the delicious treats you made for us! I came to cherish those afternoons and missed very few. It was obvious how proud of and how much love she had for her family. She would tell us stories of the tea parties and scavenger hunts she would arrange for her grandchildren’s visits. Chris was a joy to be around. I loved her sharp wit and caring heart. Thursdays will not be the same without her. My deepest sympathies.

We are just heartbroken over the sudden loss of our Aunt Chris. A warm energetic presence, we loved every conversation with Chris. She was always engaging with sincere interest in others. It’s hard to recall a conversation with Chris that did not include laughter about something. Her voice would bubble when talking about Joe, Tom, Dave, her grandkids, or even the dogs. Chris told a great story. Whenever Chris greeted us, we felt loved and that she was so sincerely glad we arrived. She will be so missed, and we will hold tight to our warm memories of our time together.

Dear Chris’s Family, I have never met you but I met your wife/mom while out walking with my young kids about 10 years ago along Wright Road. After a single meeting, she remembered my name, my mother in law’s name, the names of my kids, my husband and even my dog! She gave a gift to our family when my daughter had her appendix removed. She remembered details of our lives and asked about how everyone was doing every time I saw her. I couldn’t help but hope to see her and your dogs every time I went on a walk. She exuded love and community. We exchanged holiday cards even after we moved away from the neighborhood. She was so proud of everyone in her family. I can only imagine the hole that must be left for you all with the passing of such an incredible, positive, whole-hearted woman. May we all live a life that honors hers by caring for others— even for those we pass on a walk and strike up a conversation with…

Dear Joe, Tom, and David - I was so sorry to learn that your beloved wife and mother has passed away. Chris truly was a light to all she met, including me. I so enjoyed working with her on the scholarship committee of the Rochester Music Guild for the years we did that. She was such a caring, loving, and kind person. I will miss her. Med and I both send prayers for comfort in your grief and that you will feel the love of our Heavenly Father in the days ahead.
