The workshop will take place at the IMAG building, located in the Grenoble University campus (see on map).
This can be easily accesses with public transport. The most convenient mean are the tram lines B (passing by the city center) and C, stop "Gabriel Fauré".
Address: Bâtiment IMAG, Université Grenoble Alpes, 700 avenue centrale, 38401 Saint Martin d'Hères
Grenoble can be conveniently reached by train, flight or coach.
Train (TGV) should be the preferred option from most of France and maybe Spain and northern Italy (SNCF) . The coach may also be a valuable option for some (FlixBus or BlaBlaCar Bus).
The two closest international airports are Lyon-Saint Exupéry (1h from Grenoble) and Geneva (2h from Grenoble). Shuttle buses provide frequent connections to Grenoble (FlixBus or BlaBlaCar Bus). From Lyon-Saint Exupéry there is also a train connection, but this is more expensive and less frequent than the bus.
Up to date information can be found on the city tourist office website.
Even if the Symposium will take place on the university campus, we strongly recommend to find an accommodation in the city center. We suggest hotels near place Victor Hugo and place Grenette, there are a few options there. The university campus can be reached with tram line B from Victor Hugo.
The city tourist office website provides many useful information on Grenoble and its surroundings.
If you are reaching France from abroad, you’ll need an “EU digital Covid certificate” (or “green pass”, “pass vaccinal” in French) to enter the country.
Please check the entry rules you must comply with:
https://www.interieur.gouv.fr/covid-19-international-travel
We recommend maximal caution if you present symptoms suggesting a possible covid-19 infection or if you had contacts with infected people before your departure. In the unlucky case this would be needed, please consider cancelling your travel or getting tested to exclude a possible contagion.
A valid “EU digital Covid certificate” will be mandatory to attend the CπC Symposium.
The respect of sanitary good practices will be observed during the entire meeting, with frequent ventilation of the meeting rooms, provision of hand sanitizing gel and frequent disinfection of surfaces and shared items. Wearing face masks during all indoor activities will be strongly recommended.
The success and the smooth running of the event will depend on the behavior of all of us.
Thanks in advance for your understanding and for respecting these simple rules!
