I am an Associate Professor at the Department of Physics, National Changhua University of Education, Taiwan, and a visiting scientist at RIKEN. I was a JSPS International Research Fellow at Kyoto University, Kyoto, Japan, and a Postdoctoral Fellow at The University of Hong Kong, Hong Kong. I received my Ph.D. at National Central University, Taiwan in 2014 November.
My research focuses on the non-stationary phenomena in the Universe. It covers non-stationary quasi-periodic oscillations and superorbital modulations around compact objects, spin frequency evolution in isolated and accreting pulsars, spectral-timing evolution of X-ray binaries, ultraluminous X-ray sources, strongly magnetized neutron stars and the detailed time-frequency behaviors of the gravitational wave signals. They are keys to understanding the accretion physics around compact objects, magnetic field structure and the interior of neutron stars, and interaction between compact objects.
I have got involved in a few X-ray observation projects, such as the NinjaSat project, and the NICER magnetar & magnetic field group. NICER is a non-imaging X-ray detector with an extremely high timing resolution and a large effective area. It is used to probe the interior of neutron stars. The NinjaSat is a CubeSat that aims to monitor the candidates of gravitational wave emitters.
