- Objective: To create a voice / video chat software that has good privacy and server stability.
- Background: For companies who need a means of internal communication
- Methodology: Create custom small internal servers that can be installed at a company. This way all of that companies data will be held on their own internal server and would be much less vulnerable to hacking or security issues with the voice / video chat company. (If skype or another company gets hacked the data would be on a local server at the company and not be found)
- Expected Results: These private servers would make companies feel more secure with their data and would not be difficult to make as they could be specialized to focus on this one task.
- Costs: $200 dollars or so for the local server with a monthly fee for the voice chat software and maintenance. (Could go a similar route to Verizon fios and their set top boxes)

- Problem 1 : Creating a hardware local server that can be sold and installed easily to companies, this server would only run for the company which should increase its security and functionality as it wouldn't be public.
- Problem 2 : Creating the software to run on the server (making a program similar to slack / zoom )
- Problem 3 : Focusing on the security of our platform as its most important feature as this will be what sets us up as different from out competitors
- Possible causes of problems :
- Creating a proper chat software that is able to dynamically capture both voice and video with minimal delay and distortion.
- Having to upscale the hardware used depending on the size of the company (needing to create multiple options and not just "one size fits all" for all companies)

- Hardware Solution : Generally smaller servers do not require heavy processing power as such we can use some cheaper computers as a model for the server we wish to create and strip away the unnecessary features, (Server won't need a graphics card, audio chip, etc.)
- Software Solution : Focus on voice, video, and text chat software. Prioritize stability and security. Have the server focus on processing power as it will not need graphics,etc. and can be dedicated entirely to hosting the communication software.
- Eliminate Unnecessary requirements : Server does not have to be modular in any way as it will be easily replaced by a more advanced version. Software does not have to focus heavily on web service as we can host everything through a local network with the server.

- These services however do not offer private servers that can be used completely on a local network.

- Hardware - Wall mountable server box containing a decently strong processing unit to host the company server
- Software - Voice, text, and video chat platform that can be used for internal communication
- Process Model :
- Hardware - Create Fritzing or Eagle Cad model of circuitry
- Design a housing for the server in solid works
- Gather necessary components and assemble a prototype
- Software - Make an overlaying chat platform / Homepage

Hardware housing - Smaller companies can use a small discreet box while larger companies may want a wall mounted or server tower style exterior for the heavier hardware.
Prototype hardware - Just need it to host the server so we can use simple computers as are base and customize it as we work
Software - Using a downloadable app so that everything is completely on the local network, Possibly open up the app to non local communication with heavy security / information censorship (Only allow minimal features on non LAN based platform)
Security - Completely local hosted on the hardware server, Using a physical device that generates a one time password every time you need to access your account

- Hardware boxes are to be returned to the company after subscription service has ended for re-purpose or proper disposal
- The service will have a primary focus on security helping to prevent hacking and misuse of company data but could also be seen in the opposite way allowing customers to possibly shield illegal activity
