A one-line description of the project
My name is I-Ling Hsiung and I am a General Education Multiple Subjects teacher based in California, USA. I received the Fulbright Distinguished Awards in Teaching grant to conduct educational research on Singapore's mathematics instruction and teaching approaches from January to July 2023. I worked closely with members of Singapore's Ministry of Education, the Academy of Singapore Teachers and three primary host schools to teach, observe, interview and learn best practices for problem-solving and deep mathematical thinking. My inquiry project focused on designing a technology-based mathematics enrichment program synergizing Singapore’s Concrete-Pictorial-Abstract (C-P-A) approach and math circles. This website serves as an online resource guide of best practices with practical tools and resources. It continues to be a work in progress.
