3 to 5 players with one deck. Up to 10 players with a second deck.
OBJECT: Be the first to play all of the cards in your hand and on the table in front of you.
DEAL: Each player is first dealt 3 cards to place FACE DOWN in front of them. These are the DOWN UNDER Cards, DO NOT look at these cards. Deal out 9 more cards. Out of these cards, each player picks three cards to lay FACE UP on each of the three FACE DOWN cards.
PLAY: The play starts with the player to the left of the dealer and continues clockwise. The player ‘should’ start with the lowest card(s) in their hand. If they have multiples of a number, they may play all of them at once. The next player must match or beat the card(s) played. If 4 or more of the same number are in the play pile together, the pile is washed away and discarded out of play and the player has a fresh start to play again as they please. If a player is unable to match or beat the previous card played and they do not have a special card, they must pick up the entire play pile.
For example: Sarah played two number 10 cards. Russ plays another 10 card. If the next player, James, plays a 10, the pile would be washed away, but instead he plays a 12. Alissa is next and doesn’t have a 12 or a special card to beat it. She is required to pick up the pile and add it to her hand.
Once a player plays all of the cards in their hand, they pick up the 3 face up cards to play on their next turn. Once those cards are played and the players hand is empty, at their next turn, they pick one card from the DOWN UNDER cards and without looking at it, flip it over to reveal and play it.
If the play is successful, they flip over the another DOWN UNDER card on their next turn. If not, they must pick up the play pile and play those cards before being allow to play another DOWN UNDER card.
The first player to turn over all of their DOWN UNDER cards and have no cards in their hand is the winner.
Players score their remaining cards.
1-9 = 5 points each
10-12 = 10 points each
Special Cards = 20 points each
