Nominations
Coventry South runs as a Delegate-Structured CLP - this means that local branch and affiliated organisation delegates are eligible to vote
Other CLPs can be "all-member CLPs" where every member can attend and vote (usually for small CLPs).
Nominations open when the AGM notification is emailed to members.
Once nominations close, candidates can briefly speak
Voting
Takes place by a show of hands or a paper ballot
If there is a tie, the outgoing Chair normally votes to break the tie
The outgoing Secretary or Returning Officer (appointed for the meeting) oversees the count and results
