Computer Vision in Visual Studies

In recent years, several research communities in computer science and the humanities are applying image processing and computer vision to visual studies. These include: computer vision, image processing, digital humanities, art history, visual studies, digital museology, digital art history, cultural analytics, distant viewing, and many more.

Although the field is small, it's growing rapidly, and often scholars present at different non-overlapping conferences (ADHO DH, ECCV VisArt, Media Art Histories...), making it difficult to stay in contact with the whole community. This email list attempts to create a shared forum for distributing calls for papers, for funding, for collaboration, relevant conferences and workshops, and so on - without excessive spamming.
