History

Joe and Gayle Covington were high school sweethearts in Greenville, Texas. When Joe proposed in 1972, they planned to open a small plant nursery; with a loan from his mother Eula, they bought a tiny lot on the corner of Oates and Broadway. On their very first day they set up lawn chairs, painted a sign on Eula’s old discarded door, and sat on the corner selling azaleas for $2.99.

Now, 54 years later, here’s what we do:

Retail: One of Texas’s largest retail nurseries with 18 acres of trees and premium plant material. We grow seasonal bedding and offer a wide selection of trees, shrubs, perennials, and garden accessories everything chosen for North Texas. We help customers succeed with friendly, knowledgeable service.

Wholesale: Serving landscapers and contractors with fast turnaround, a vast selection of high-quality stock, and reliable order fulfillment. 

Landscape: We design and install complete landscapes, irrigation systems, hardscapes, patios, fire pits, water features, outdoor kitchens, and pool integration. Projects begin with a paid consultation so our designers can offer focused, professional guidance.

Lawn & Garden Services: Routine maintenance and seasonal care to keep properties healthy, and thriving.
