*This project is inspired by the Community Photojournalist Project by PBLWorks, and borrows many of its resources.
How can we, as photojournalists, tell stories of our family experience during this period of social distancing?
This project provides students with a learning experience to think deeply about their family experience during the social distancing period to create emotional awareness for their audience by visually documenting and narrating photo essays. This opportunity allows students to utilize their research skills, informational reading, and photography techniques, presenting their final product to an audience of the community. The photo essays can be used as primary sources for historians in the future. You can expect this project to take around 4-8 hours to complete
Students design and present photo essays.
This project was developed for parents to complete with their children at home. It loosely follows the PBL Project Path, as described by PBLWorks. Follow the four phases in order across the top of this site:
Launch
Build Knowledge
Develop and Critique
Present Product
Complete all the steps in one phase before moving onto the next.
