Advocate for allocating aid to the Education Stabilization fund in the fourth federal Coronavirus aid package. This fund helps fill state budget gaps and prevent educator layoffs, closing the “homework gap” experienced by students who don’t have internet devices or access at home, and expanding student loan forgiveness.

Read and sign this open letter to Department of Education advocating for the Department to require local education agencies to take several actions such as adopting distance-learning strategies to meet the needs of children with IEPs while schools are closed, provide compensatory education resources for any programming that cannot be appropriately adapted for children who have special education needs, and convening IEP meetings virtually.
