Virtual Classroom

The capacity to learn is a gift; the ability to learn is a skill; the willingness to learn is an absolute choice. But does this statement hold true in the current scenario wherein students and teachers who are scattered all across the country, join hands to embellish the key to success - “education”, over a virtual platform? COVID’19 has indeed dwindled the global system from every aspect of life, be it education, financial status, health, etc. The atmosphere being filled with intense vibes of precariousness, majority of the schools and colleges have taken up to online teaching in order to keep the students engaged and abreast with the portions and syllabus. A number of online conference platforms are booming today as scholars and educators reconvene to acquire the elementary essence of life through these mediums. From a broader outlook, technological developments have proved to be an exotic outbreak over the last few decades. However, we must remember that every coin has two sides.

Flipping through the pages of your textbook while seated in class, the little memories we make with our bench-mates which are cherished for an eternity are thoroughly missed in such a catastrophic scenario. Though online courses/learning seems to be one of the finest solutions to the contemporary problems we face, it often seems to mislead those students who lack self-discipline resulting in numerous backlogs piled up on their shoulders. Further, the firm roots of social learning and mundane engagement are disrupted to a certain extent when we consider the process of education in a virtual environment. The gusto and ardor which a student develops while in class would always be a forfeited element in an online classroom. Keeping apart the hitches, online classes do prove to be beneficial to quite a number of students who are passionate about discovering plethora of extensive topics at their own pace, in a flexible environment. After all, none of these glitches are likely to hinder those who consider education as an opportunity -the true Unstoppables!
