THE PROBLEM

• Needing to prevent the spread of SARS-coV2 at all levels - Nursing homes, jails, factories, schools, colleges, etc.

• People who are asymptomatic or presymptomatic can be contagious without any outward sign that they are sick.

• We don't have the resources to test every single person - but we can't live like this forever

THE SOLUTION

• Leverage available testing resources to provide early detection surveillance at a rate of 48:1 using the idea of pooled screening (which is a modification of pooled testing).

• Existing facilities can be retrofitted to handle both 1:1 testing and pooled screens in a matter of weeks.

• A facility that can process 500 pooled screening tests a day could be used as an early surveillance system for 24,000 people in places like nursing homes, jails, public schools . . .
