About Us

The owners of CoverUp Storage made their original investment in the Northern Neck of Virginia (Reedville area) in 1999.  The relaxed lifestyle, friendly people,  and water access convinced them that this should be their home.  After permanently locating here in 2018, they purchased a classic travel trailer to explore other parts of the United States.  It became immediately clear to them that they needed a place to store their trailer when not in use - which is when they noticed this property on Northumberland Highway.

After an easy discussion with the previous owner, a covered trailer storage spot was secured.  In early 2022 they learned that the owner had passed away and they began to search for a pathway to purchase the property.  After a lengthy negotiation with the estate, the property was purchased in December of 2022.

That is when the work of revitalizing the property began.  While the previous owner had invested substantially in the property, it had fallen into disrepair over the previous two years.  The first renovation task was to update the small "caretaker's house" at the front of the property to enable a full-time resident.  Once this was done, and the on-site manager was located, the work on the A, B, and C Storage buildings began.

The first task was to label the buildings - now known as the A, B, and C buildings.  After some quick drainage work and some repairs to the fence, the roof of the A building was painted/sealed and a few small leaks were repaired.  A few pieces of abandoned property were cleared and much of the overgrown brush was removed.  The floors of the storage buildings were also covered in gravel to prevent dirt from being tracked into stored property.  The floors of the storage sheds were also marked to enable a clear understanding of the boundaries of spaces.  

The property is now much improved and ready to accept many sizes and shapes of boats, RVs, and travel trailers.  Come see us, and let us protect your investments!
