Effective date: October 04, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how the Android app Coverly: Paint Tile & Floor ("Coverly," "the app," "we," "us," or "our") handles information. Coverly is an offline material estimator. It calculates quantities and costs for paint, tile, flooring, wallpaper, drywall, and trim from room measurements you enter.
In short, Coverly does not collect, transmit, sell, or share your personal information. Everything you enter stays on your device unless you choose to export or share it.
Coverly does not collect or transmit:
Personal information such as your name, email address, phone number, or address
Account or login information (the app has no accounts or sign-in)
Location data
Device identifiers or advertising identifiers
Usage analytics, behavioral data, or crash reports
Photos, camera, microphone, contacts, or files you have not explicitly chosen
Coverly does not include advertising, analytics, tracking, or crash-reporting software. It does not use any external servers, cloud services, or third-party APIs.
Coverly works fully offline. The app does not request internet access and does not request any Android permissions. It cannot send information from your device to us or anyone else on its own.
To work, Coverly saves the information you enter in the app's private storage on your device. This includes:
Project names and notes
Room names, shapes, dimensions, wall heights, and door and window details
Material selections, product labels, package sizes, and prices you enter
Labour or extra cost items, tax percentage, and currency
App settings, such as the unit system, default waste percentages, package catalogs, and theme
This information is used only to perform calculations and display your projects within the app. It is never sent to us, and we have no access to it.
Coverly lets you create files and share information, but only when you choose to:
PDF export: You can save a shopping list or estimate as a PDF to a location you select through Android's system file picker.
Backup export and import: You can save all your app data as a backup file (JSON format) to a location you select, and later import it. Backup files are not encrypted, so store them somewhere you trust.
Sharing: You can share a PDF or a text shopping list through Android's share menu to an app or recipient you choose.
Copy to clipboard: You can copy a shopping list to your device's clipboard.
Once you export or share information outside Coverly, it is handled by the app, service, or storage location you selected, under that party's own privacy practices. We do not receive a copy.
Contact us: Tapping "Contact us" opens your own email app with our address pre-filled. The subject line includes the app's version number to help us respond. Nothing is sent unless you send the email yourself. If you email us, we receive only what you include in your message, plus your email address. We use it only to respond to you, and we do not share it.
Rate Coverly: Tapping "Rate Coverly" opens the app's page in the Google Play Store app or your browser. Coverly does not send any information when doing this.
If you have enabled backup in your device settings, Android may include Coverly's app data in your device's system backup, such as a backup to your Google Account. This backup is controlled by your device settings and Google's privacy policy, not by Coverly. You can manage or turn off this feature in your Android settings.
Coverly is distributed through Google Play. Google may collect information related to app downloads, installs, and purchases, and may collect diagnostics under your device and Google Account settings. This is governed by Google's Privacy Policy (https://policies.google.com/privacy). Coverly does not include Google Play services SDKs or any other third-party SDKs that collect data.
Your data stays on your device until you delete it. You can delete it at any time by:
Deleting individual projects in the app
Using Delete all data in the app's Workshop section
Clearing the app's storage in your Android system settings
Uninstalling the app
Because we do not collect or hold your data, we cannot access, recover, or delete it for you. Backup or PDF files you exported are stored where you saved them, and you can delete them separately.
Your data is stored in Coverly's private app storage, which Android isolates from other apps. Coverly does not transmit data over the internet, which removes the risk of interception in transit. However, no storage method is completely secure. The security of your data also depends on your device, including its screen lock and system updates. Exported backup and PDF files are not encrypted by Coverly.
Coverly is a general-purpose tool and is not directed at children under 13. The app does not knowingly collect personal information from anyone, including children, because it collects no personal information at all.
Depending on where you live, you may have rights under privacy laws such as the GDPR or CCPA/CPRA. These include the right to access, correct, or delete personal information. Because Coverly does not collect or store personal information on any server, we do not hold personal data about you. You keep full control of the data in the app and can view, edit, export, or delete it directly on your device.
We may update this Privacy Policy if the app's features or data practices change. Any update will be posted with a revised effective date. We encourage you to review this policy from time to time. If a change significantly affects how information is handled, we will make it clear in the app or on its Google Play listing.
