New Member Application Information 

Congratulations to those who have been invited to join the Cousino High School Chapter of the National Honor Society, the application links are below.   Invitations to apply are mailed in early Spring to eligible Sophomores and Juniors based only on the minimum 3.5 GPA requirement.  After this initial invitation, GPA is not used to determine membership selection and is purely based on the written portions of the application.

The National Honor Society is a community service-based organization.  In order for our high school to maintain a chapter, all members are required to complete minimum service hours per school year and participate in school and community service projects.    In order to be eligible for membership or to maintain membership, a minimum of a cumulative 3.5 GPA is required.  While maintaining a strong academic GPA is an important requirement, this is not the primary focus of our organization.  Members must also be involved in their school and community, exhibit outstanding character in the classroom and community.  Decisions are typically made by mid April and the new member Induction Ceremony takes place in early to mid May.

If you are an underclassman that is interested in being a part of this group, it is highly encouraged that you build your resume including school and community involvement through participation in school activities and volunteering in the community.  Browse the application to see what criteria are necessary of our potential members.  Only eligible Sophomores and Juniors are extended invitations based only on the minimum 3.5 GPA requirement.

Applications may be turned in early.   Late applications will not be accepted, no exceptions.  Plan accordingly. 

*Invitations to apply were mailed out on March 12, 2025. If you have a 3.5 or higher GPA and did not get an invitation, please reach out to Mr. Aprile or Mrs. Trubey as soon as possible.

*The Induction Ceremony is May 8th.  The calendar page will have updated information about the Induction Ceremony.
