Courage (Courage MKE) is a Milwaukee-based nonprofit dedicated to supporting LGBTQ+ youth across Wisconsin by providing housing, scholarships, and other resources.
We are forming a Junior Advisory Board to represent the needs of LGBTQ+ youth. This board will advise the larger organization to ensure the nonprofit fulfills its mission of “Fueling a collaborative movement to provide the resources LGBTQ+ youth need to thrive”.
The Junior Advisory Board will consist of seven youth leaders (ages 15-20) who are passionate about advocating for LGBTQ+ rights. We want to include members from communities across Wisconsin who provide unique perspectives and diverse experiences. We believe in the value of each person’s contribution and aim to create an inclusive environment where every voice is heard.
The board will meet virtually once a month to discuss initiatives, share updates, and strategize for projects. Together, we will identify the needs of LGBTQ+ youth, develop supportive programs, and take responsibility for every stage–from planning to execution to impact evaluation.
By advocating, developing projects, and serving as community representatives, board members will play a pivotal role in driving meaningful change and empowering LGBTQ+ youth statewide.
Individuals (ages 15-20) who reside in Wisconsin.
