CoupleCart is a family organization application that allows family members to share shopping lists, calendar events, and related activity.
This Privacy Policy explains what information CoupleCart collects, how it is used, and how users can request deletion of their account and associated data.
CoupleCart may collect and store:
Email address
Firebase user ID
Family name and family membership
Shopping lists and shopping items
Calendar events, dates, times, and locations entered by users
Activity history related to shared lists
Notification preferences
Theme and appearance preferences
Invitations created for family members
CoupleCart does not access the device’s GPS location. Event locations are stored only when entered manually by a user.
The collected information is used to:
Authenticate users
Synchronize shopping lists and calendar events
Allow family members to collaborate
Manage family memberships and invitations
Display in-app activity and notifications
Save user preferences
Maintain the security and operation of the application
Shopping lists, calendar events, and family activity are visible only to members of the same CoupleCart family group.
Private shopping lists are visible only to the user who created them.
We do not sell personal information and do not use personal information for advertising.
CoupleCart uses Google Firebase services, including:
Firebase Authentication
Cloud Firestore
Google Sign-In, when selected by the user
These services process information according to Google’s privacy and security practices.

User information is stored using Google Firebase services. Data is transmitted using encrypted network connections.
Users should protect their login information and avoid sharing passwords or invitation codes with unauthorized persons.
Account information is retained while the CoupleCart account remains active.
When an account is deleted:
The user profile is deleted
Family membership is removed
Private shopping lists and private items are deleted
Personal activity records are deleted
Invitations created by or addressed to the user are deleted
The Firebase Authentication account is deleted
Shared shopping lists and calendar events may remain available to other family members because they form part of the shared family workspace and do not identify their original creator.
If the user is the only member of a family, the family and its shared data are also deleted.
Users can permanently delete their account directly inside the CoupleCart application:
Open the Family tab.
Select Account.
Select Delete account.
Follow the confirmation instructions.
If the user is the last administrator of a family with other members, another member must first be made an administrator.
Account deletion is permanent and cannot be undone.
Users who cannot access the application can request account and data deletion by emailing:

Use the subject:
CoupleCart Account Deletion Request
Include the email address associated with the CoupleCart account. Additional verification may be requested to prevent unauthorized deletion.
Verified deletion requests will be processed within 30 days.
CoupleCart is not specifically designed for children under the age of 13 and does not knowingly collect personal information from children without appropriate authorization.
This Privacy Policy may be updated when the application, its services, or legal requirements change.
The updated effective date will be displayed at the top of this page.
