The County Durham Cleaning Company CIC represents a merger of Kevin Bankhead a 15 year food production facility manger specializing in maintaining the rigorous hygiene standards demanded by public health legislation and Ashleigh sharpe a 12 year domestic and commercial cleaning specialist which was originally formed during the UK lock down when we responded to the problems which arose from people in isolation that could not access services and needed urgent help. 

we were able to bring together the skills from the hygiene focused and closely monitored food preparation industry with the polished and focused commercial and domestic cleaning sector to form a company that is unmatched in knowledge, experience and diversity with equipment to deal with every eventuality.    

Due to our experience we offer real time physical support working alongside other agencies to resolve problems for those unable to get support elsewhere and in doing so build not only a working relationship with service users but also with the partnering agencies such as housing authorities, social services and council enforcement with fully supported site reports if required.

Due to cuts in services the number of people struggling grows daily, turning to social services or the council who in turn struggle with  addressing problems. The County Durham area is historically a low-income zone and with ever increasing crime and a general disassociation of community spirit individuals become more reclusive leading to depression, anxiety and in some cases death.

The services we provide help bring back a persons sense of pride, confidence and reinstall a sense of community while encouraging neighbours to look after one another. Even while completing work people who will tell us how they are struggling and how just knowing the help is there should they need it is a source of comfort.     .
