Our Story
Country Charm Flooring Center was started in 1983 by Scott and Pat Abraham, and very early on, they realized the significance of not only a quality product, but excellent customer service and affordable pricing. In July of 2024, The Abrahams sold the Company to Dan Gwidt, a long time family friend. Dan gew up in Milwaukee, but spent every weekend he could, traveling up to Minocqua as a kid. Dan went to college at Northern Michigan University and graduated in 2022. After a couple of years working in the minocqua area, Dan took a position working for the Abrahams and eventually took ownership in 2024. Country Charm Flooring Center has been winning the trust and loyalty of customers for over 40 years, and it is Dan's mission to keep that legacy going.

Manufacturers have greatly improved both the construction methods and wood finishes used in the production of hardwood flooring, Solid and Engineered are the two main types of hardwood flooring. Solid is made completely of the hardwood tree and can be refinished several times throughout its life cycle. Solid comes in 3", 4" and 5" widths. Engineered wood, is a veneer of hardwood bonded to a plywood backing. Engineered can withstand temperature fluctuations and humidity changes much better than your tradition solids resulting in less shrinking and expanding throughout our 4 seasons. There are also many vinyl plank options in a Ceramic/Porcelian tile look! Vinyl plank comes in a glue down form, as well as a click lock floating form. In many instances, and floating vinyl plank can be installed right over your existing flooring, making it the #1 option for DIY. Make no mistake, a professional installation from our installation team is a very good idea as taking on a flooring project is not always so simple!
