Country Fried Dance teaches classic, contemporary, and custom line dances along with western-swing style partner dancing
Country Fried Dance is a queer/trans run business that specializes in creating queer-friendly dance spaces
You do NOT need to be queer to attend one of our events or to hire me for a private/corporate event (but it'd be cool if you were)
I strive to make learning fun and to empower dancers of all skill levels

and beyond...
I love to dance.
Like I really looooooooooooooooove to dance.
Some say I love it so much that others can't help but love it too.
When I started dancing, I deeply craved a queer dance community.
Without a clear place to go, I started building my network one by one
Then...in July 2023 my Gay Audacity™ kicked in and I:
Took it upon myself to start teaching queer-friendly line dance
Rented a dance studio for a couple hours
Put out a Lex Ad and a hastily made instagram flyer
Started a journey I would never look back from
That's how Country Fried Dance was born.

When I'm dancing, I can't help but smile.
I feel like a golden retriever whose being told he's a good boy while he has his head out a car window.
Sometimes when I dance, I feel so free that I close my eyes and I let the whole world melt away.
Dance has been a powerful force for good in my life that has:
Helped me to reconnect with my body as a transgender nonbinary person.
I practice new ways of being and self-expression that feel good to me while blatantly disregarding hegemonic gender norms.
Enabled me to build and nourish deep friendships.
Dancing with my friends is a form of play that's good for my soul. Partner dancing has helped me establish trust.
Improved my mental and physical health.
It's good for my heart (as in cardiovascular system). It's good for my soul. I feel less sad and anxious. I also sleep better.
One of the places my work has recently been featured, such as:
Tribeza: May/June Issue (page 52 of magazine / 54 of PDF)
Feral Friends Association (Formerly Queer Coded Tales) "Friendshipping" Show at Cheer Up Charlies
KVUE interview: June 2024
