Mobile web browsing has exploded - if you run a website you may find that more than half your visitors are using smartphones or tablets. Page load time is an important factor in visitor satisfaction as well as in search engine ranking algorithms. Be careful when using third party widgets as some of them contain blocking JavaScript code or large files which can negatively impact page load times. Because our countdowns are pre-rendered the code download is very small. We also use edge caching strategies to deliver your countdowns from the location nearest to each user. When we do need to load content from the main server we use sophisticated in-memory caching to pull the data directly from RAM which is faster than reading from a hard disc.

I am trying to make a count down timer in a repeating group. Basically it is a social media feed and each new post you make will have a 24 hour limit. I want to have a real time countdown in each cell. Each cell will display different times based on when it was posted. Is this possible?

Note that in my example, I am showing the expiration in minutes in order to illustrate the countdown on posts I created a handful of minutes apart. You could have the countdown displayed in hours until it reaches a certain point, and then the countdown could switch to minutes.

I think my app if messed up haha. I put it on a random text element that I could actually find when trying to select an element and it still does not update real time. I even copy and pasted the countdown timer example with all its functionality and it does not show up as an option to select as an element

I would like to also add a countdown timer to an event landing page but absolutely have no idea on how to do this. The countdown is to the upcoming GDPR date, 25th May and would like to add this to the event landing page. -partner-forum-deadline-day-and-beyond#register-form

I for the life of me cannot seem to find a way to get my entry delay to make any kind of countdown sound(or flashing lights) upon opening up my store. When I exit and arm I get sounds during the countdown at least letting me now I have to lock up before the countdown finishes. My keypad also flashes lights during the process. Handy.

Same issue here. (How) did you solve it? Exit delay countdown is present but no sounds after entry. I am using in combination with motion sensor. I have had a few false alarm already because I forgot to disarm.

I had done some digging into the javascript that controls the existing Stopwatch component. I thought I had found a simple fix that I was going to tell Glide about to allow it to properly count down as well as count up without the ugly negatives, but the more I looked at the code, it appeared to me that it really needed a complete rewrite, so I gave up and moved on. I think to get a true realtime countdown timer, the stopwatch component either needs to be reworked by glide, or a person would have to incorporate an external timer in a webview component.

To do so, I'm using the "jChavannes"' github (Link here) that is really complete, but I can't find a way to modify the countdown while it's running even though 'jchavannes' put a lot of tools to use his work.

Here is the HTML code of what i'd like to make work, with buttons of what I need to modify the countdown and the javascript of what I'm using to make the whole thing work (one library is missing but it's way too big to be put here, you'll find it in the Github).

Countdown clocks can be ridiculous to setup. Would love to see if anyone has a simple solution for implementing this countdown clock. The issue I encountered multiple times with setting one up, was that it would make the javascript cal (to start the countdown)l at the refresh of the page instead of calling it from another point to give it a true countdown to a certain date. @cyberdave or @callmevlad can probably give a solution here or point us in the right direction.

Is it possible to feed the countdown value of "Run this query periodically / period interval" to another component? I want to show a visual indication countdown to the user of when the query will run again.

Retool has a timer that you might be able to use for this. Queries don't have a property of the current countdown value but they do have a .timestamp property, of the last time the query was run, and a .queryRefreshTime property, that matches the "Period interval" field. Timer components also let you display time elapsed since a given moment so you can do something like:
