I was the first to introduce short form video content to the Executives at ROV and was able to bring my knowledge in digital media to create successful growth on our Instagram and YouTube platforms. I have experience creating reels, graphics, and animations for social media and focus on reaching a diverse range of audiences.
I specialize in creating animated characters for young audiences to engage with, and have been able to increase voter interaction and staff participation utilizing animation. I've created Toonie to represent our pre-registration initiatives, I've designed mascots for our Star Performers recognition program, and I've made a drop box character to promote upcoming elections.
I have been at the Santa Clara County Registrar of Voters' Office since November 2021, where I began as a volunteer. I've since moved up from administrative assistance to graphic design, where I get to blend my passion for art and my dedication to civic engagement.
Toonie represents our pre-registration initiatives, but we also utilize him in graphics, staff events, and social media reels. Our future voters love having stickers and buttons of him and it's been a huge success in increasing voter engagement.
The past two elections, I was tasked with creating Instagram reels for our social media page. I created a Drop Box character to share deadlines for future elections.
Throughout my time as a graphic designer, I've been able to create many fun reels for our social media pages. I've created reels focusing on sharing election deadlines, spreading important voter information, and more.
I have assisted the training and staff development team in creating branding and animations to promote their recognition program, Star Performers. Each quarter, I create a new animation to inform all staff about the deadlines. I also designed incentive items for the program's winners.
I've created two animated videos to share information voting options for specific elections. The no party preference video assisted voters that were confused about their voting options, and aimed to educate them on what their designation means. The Are You In the Right Line? animation was posted in the lobby, guiding voters to the correct window during early voting at our office.
