Cotswold Suffrage

I had been fascinated by the women's suffrage movement since being told stories by an elderly aunt of the suffragette activities she had witnessed in London. So, when I took early retirement from teaching History, I decided to research the movement in the North East where I was living, and completed a PhD on the subject.

Moving back to my native Gloucestershire in 2009, I discovered that little was known about suffrage activities here. This book is the result of my attempt to fill that gap.

This site is designed to provide some supplementary information. You can explore details of hundreds of individuals who were either activists or supporters - but you may know more about some of them. If so, please click here to contact me or leave your comments.
