1. Introduction

This Privacy Policy describes how Collaboreto ("we", "us", or "our") collects, uses, and protects information gathered through the Costore Rider mobile application ("the App"). By using the App, you agree to the practices described in this policy.

2. Information We Collect

Information you provide:

Name, email address, and password when creating an account
Phone number for OTP-based verification
Bank account or UPI details for earnings payout
Vehicle and identity documents submitted during onboarding

Information collected automatically:

Device type, operating system, and app version
App usage patterns, screen views, and feature interactions
Crash reports and error logs
Session duration and frequency of use

Location data:

Precise GPS location (foreground and background) while you are on an active delivery
Location is used to navigate to pickup and drop points, update live delivery status, calculate distance-based earnings, and allow customers and stores to track delivery progress
Background location access is only active during an ongoing delivery assignment and stops once the delivery is completed or cancelled

3. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

Create and manage your rider account
Assign, track, and complete delivery orders
Calculate and process earnings and payouts
Enable OTP-based secure delivery confirmation
Track COD (Cash on Delivery) collections and deposits
Send notifications for new orders and account activity
Improve app performance and fix bugs
Comply with legal obligations

4. Location Access

The App requests the following location permissions:

ACCESS_FINE_LOCATION — precise GPS location for navigation and delivery tracking
ACCESS_COARSE_LOCATION — approximate location as a fallback
ACCESS_BACKGROUND_LOCATION — background location tracking during active deliveries only

Location data is transmitted to our servers in real time during an active delivery to update order status and provide live tracking to customers and store owners. Location tracking does not occur when no delivery is assigned. We do not sell or share location data with advertisers or any third party beyond what is necessary to operate the delivery platform.

Location Data Disclosure

The Costore Rider app collects precise and background location data when a rider is online and/or performing delivery-related activities. This location data is transmitted to our servers and shared with relevant customers and store partners to provide live order tracking, delivery status updates, navigation assistance, and delivery verification. Location data may be stored as part of delivery records and operational logs. We do not use location data for advertising purposes and do not sell location information to third parties.

5. Analytics

We use Mixpanel to understand how riders interact with the app. This includes tracking feature usage, navigation patterns, and key actions such as order acceptance and delivery confirmation. These services receive an anonymised user identifier and usage data. No sensitive personal or financial information is shared with analytics providers.

6. Crash Reporting

We use Firebase Crashlytics to automatically collect crash and error reports. Reports may include device model, OS version, app version, and the state of the app at the time of the crash. They do not include personally identifiable information.

7. Data Storage and Security

Your data is stored securely using Supabase, a managed cloud database platform. We implement industry-standard security measures to protect your data from unauthorized access, disclosure, or loss. No method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

8. Third-Party Services

The App integrates the following third-party services, each with their own privacy practices:

Supabase — database and authentication infrastructure
Google — Maps, sign-in authentication, and location services
Firebase — analytics and crash reporting (Google LLC)
Mixpanel — product analytics
Razorpay — earnings payout processing

9. Data Sharing

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information to third parties. We may share data with service providers only to the extent necessary to operate the platform. We may disclose information if required by law or to protect the rights and safety of our users.

10. Data Retention

We retain your account and delivery data for as long as your account remains active. If you choose to delete your account, we will remove your personal data within 30 days, except where retention is required by law (e.g., financial transaction records).

You have the right to:

Access the personal data we hold about you
Request correction of inaccurate data
Request deletion of your account and associated data
Withdraw consent for analytics tracking at any time
Opt out of background location tracking (note: this will prevent active deliveries from functioning correctly)

The Costore Rider app is intended solely for adult delivery partners. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under the age of 18.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices or legal requirements. We will notify you of significant changes through the app or via email. Continued use of the app after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy.
