Costco Travel ("App", "we", "our", "us") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains our data practices when you use our Android mobile application.
The short version: We do not collect, store, or share any personal information. Ever.
We collect no personal information.
Costco Travel does not collect, process, or transmit any of the following:
Name, email address, phone number, or postal address
GPS location or IP-based location data
Device identifiers (IMEI, Android ID, Advertising ID)
Photos, contacts, calendar events, or files from your device
Browsing history, search queries, or usage behavior
Financial, payment, or banking information
Health or biometric data of any kind
Crash reports or diagnostic data sent to our servers
The following preferences are saved only on your device and never leave it:
Saved cities and destinations
Dark mode preference
Language and region settings
Notification preferences
This data is stored using Android's local storage, is inaccessible to us or any third party, and is permanently deleted when you uninstall the App or clear its data via Android Settings → Apps → Costco Travel → Clear Data.
The App uses internet access solely to load destination images from public photo services (e.g., Unsplash). These image requests are:
Fully anonymous — no user identifiers attached
Read-only — no personal data is sent outbound
Limited to display purposes only
Costco Travel does not use any of the following:
Advertising networks (Google AdMob, Meta Ads, etc.)
Analytics platforms (Firebase Analytics, Mixpanel, etc.)
Social media SDKs (Facebook, Google Sign-In, etc.)
Crash reporting tools that transmit personal data
Payment processors or in-app purchase tracking
The only external library used is Coil (open-source image loading) which performs anonymous image fetches only.
Costco Travel is safe for all ages. We do not collect personal information from anyone, including children under 13 (COPPA) or under 16 (GDPR). No parental consent mechanism is required because no data is collected from any user.
Under GDPR, CCPA, and similar laws you have the right to access, correct, and delete your personal data. Since we collect no personal data, there is nothing stored on our end to act upon.
To delete all locally stored data, use: Android Settings → Apps → Costco Travel → Storage → Clear Data
Because we store no personal data on remote servers, there is no server-side breach risk. Your locally stored preferences are protected by your device's own security — screen lock, Android app sandboxing, and device encryption.
Costco Travel is provided for informational and entertainment purposes only. Travel information, city descriptions, and images may not be current or accurate. Always verify travel conditions, visa requirements, and entry restrictions with official government sources before traveling.

We may update this Privacy Policy periodically. Changes will be reflected in the "Last Updated" date above. Continued use of the App after any changes constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
