How to make Cosmopolitan Cocktail.
Cosmopolitan, commonly referred to as a Cosmo, is one of the most recognizable cocktails based on vodka, which is characterized by its pink color, bitter citrus, and equal amounts of sweetness. Largely identified with New York glamour and the TV show Sex and the City, this cocktail has become one of the standards of party, nice dinners and even a simple gathering.
Its ingredients are not especially sophisticated: vodka, cranberry juice, Cointreau, and lime, but the judiciousness of a Cosmopolitan is that it is a cocktail that is simultaneously tart (lime), slightly sweet (cranberry), and smooth (vodka).
The History of the Cosmopolitan.
The Cosmopolitan is a subject of argument between cocktail historians as to its origin. It is now recognized worldwide in its modern form in the 1990s, though variations of the drink exist dating back to the early 20 th century.

In 1934, a cocktail named the Cosmopolitan Daisy was created, which consisted of gin, Cointreau, lemon juice and raspberry syrup. It was not a literal ancestor of the contemporary Cosmo, but it had the same idea of the balance between the citrus, sweetness, and alcohol. This pre-prohibition cocktail was probably the inspiration of subsequent vodka-based cocktails.
