1. Introductory Online Meeting (Week 1)
Short introduction between the two schools.
Presentation of “space identities”.
Small activity: “What do I already know about the Moon”.
2. Lunar Explorers’ Journal (Weeks 2–3)
Drawings + short notes.
Exchange of 2 journal pages between the schools.
3. Mini Astronomy: Earth–Moon–Sun (Week 4)
Demonstration of Moon phases using a flashlight.
Role‑play activity: “I am the Earth / Moon / Sun”.
Short online exchange: “What we learned”.
A student brought a small space‑exploration machine to the classroom, and it immediately captured everyone’s attention. It looked like a compact model of a real scientific device, complete with buttons, lights, and tiny sensors. As the student demonstrated how it worked, the class could see how such machines help scientists explore distant planets and gather information from places humans cannot easily reach. The demonstration turned the room into a mini space lab, sparking curiosity and excitement about how technology helps us understand the universe.
MARCH – Design & Creation
4. Joint Mission: Designing the Lunar Base (Weeks 5–7)
Athens: living quarters.
Nicosia: energy systems & laboratories.
Exchange of designs and combination into one shared base.
Simple model (cardboard, GIGO blocks, or Tinkercad).
5. Bee‑Bot / micro:bit Robotics – Lunar Missions (Weeks 8–9)
Creation of a small Moon surface map.
Mission challenges sent from one school to the other.
Video recording and exchange of results.
APRIL – Expression & Presentation
6. Lunar Art + Final Presentation (Weeks 10–12)
Story writing: “If I lived on the Moon for one day…”
Illustration and exchange of artworks.
Final online meeting:
