Any of those could describe me as a writer.
And in my typical fashion, I kind of refuse to choose between them. Throw them in a blender. See what comes out. I write at the junction between these worlds, oscillating between expression - contemplation - discovery -
My focus is the Unfocus. The Oxymoronic. The Plain and Simply Honest.

Delaney is a third-year student at the University of Michigan, where she studies Molecular Cellular and Developmental Biology with a Minor in Writing.
The Sweetland Minor in Writing is a dynamic program that encourages students to approach the craft as a multimodal, multifaceted discipline. Through deep genre work, peer workshops, and the continuous production of many written works, students gain valuable skills that translate to a multitude of settings and future endeavors. Admission to the minor is by application only, and faculty work diligently to facilitate a welcoming, supportive, and collaborative community comprised of students who are truly dedicated to Writing and Creating.
At UofM, Delaney is also an Executive Board Member for the student organization Out in Science Technology Engineering and Mathematics (oSTEM @Umich), and is a proud member of First Generation College Students at Michigan (First Gens @Umich).
Notable Accomplishments:
At the age of 16, Delaney Won 3rd Place for Flash Fiction in the 2020 It's All Write Teen Writing Contest for her piece titled "Pandora's Garden". During that year, the contest was international and had over 2,000 total submissions across three writing categories and three respective age groups. More information can be found here.
In the spring of 2024, Delaney presented an original research poster in a public forum, titled "Interplay Between the DNA Nucleases MRE11 and Artemis During Normal and Aberrant Lymphocyte-Specific Programmed DNA Rearrangements". The presentation marked the culmination of an intensive year-long research project, and is accompanied by a short write-up and a published abstract. More information can be found here.
