1. WHAT THIS APP IS

Cosmetology Exam prep - 2026 is an independent study tool containing original practice questions for candidates preparing for the written NIC National Cosmetology Theory Examination.

The app includes multiple-choice practice questions, explanations, quizzes, timed practice exams, bookmarks, mistake review, target-score readiness and study-progress features.

2. INDEPENDENCE AND TRADEMARK NOTICE

NIC® is a registered trademark of the National-Interstate Council of State Boards of Cosmetology, Inc. This application is not affiliated with, approved by, sponsored by or endorsed by NIC or any state board of cosmetology.

References to the examination identify the independent study material's intended purpose. The app does not contain, reproduce or claim to contain official examination questions.

3. EXAMINATION PREPARATION ONLY

The app is a study aid. It does not issue a credential, licence, certificate, course credit or eligibility determination.

Scores, accuracy, mastery and readiness describe only performance on questions in this app. They are not an official NIC or state board score, a probability of passing or a guarantee of any examination result. Passing scores are set by each state, and readiness compares your accuracy in this app with the target score you choose.

Examination content outlines, item formats, policies, eligibility rules, fees, passing standards and procedures may change. Verify current information directly with NIC or your state board.

4. STUDY CONTENT ONLY

The content is for examination preparation and education only. It is not professional, academic or legal advice and is not a substitute for your programme's or school's instruction, your state board's rules, or product manufacturers' instructions.

5. YOUR PURCHASE

The full-access unlock is offered as a one-time, non-consumable purchase. It is not a subscription and does not create a recurring charge.

• Apple or Google processes the purchase, and the applicable store's payment and refund policies apply.

• We do not receive or store your payment-card or bank details.

• An eligible purchase may be restored on a compatible device using the same Apple or Google account through Settings → Restore purchases.

• We cannot directly issue an Apple or Google store refund.

• Features identified as free remain available without purchasing the full unlock.

6. APP CONTENT

The questions, passages, scenarios, explanations, design, organisation and other original app content are protected by copyright and applicable law. You may use the content for personal examination study. You may not copy, scrape, record, reproduce, distribute, publish, sell, sublicense or use it to create another question bank, application, course or competing product. You may not bypass purchase controls or extract the bundled bank.

7. ACCURACY AND UPDATES

Guidelines, standards and examination outlines change. We do not warrant that every question, explanation, reference or feature is complete, current or error-free. We may correct, replace, remove or update content without notice. Report suspected issues using the support contact in the app.

8. YOUR DATA

Study history, answers, scores, bookmarks and settings are stored locally on your device. We do not provide cloud backup or recovery. See the Privacy Policy for analytics, crash reporting, remote configuration and purchase validation details.

9. ITEM-FORMAT COVERAGE

The app covers the written theory examination only. It does not cover the written practical examination, the hands-on practical examination, or state-specific laws and rules.

10. AVAILABILITY AND COMPATIBILITY

We aim to keep the app available but do not guarantee uninterrupted operation, compatibility with every device or continued availability through a particular store. Core study content works offline after installation. Purchases, restoration, analytics, crash reporting, configuration updates and support functions may require internet access.

11. DISCLAIMER OF WARRANTIES

To the extent permitted by law, the app and its content are provided “as is” and “as available,” without express or implied warranties, including warranties of accuracy, fitness for a particular purpose, merchantability or non-infringement.

12. LIMITATION OF LIABILITY

To the extent permitted by law, Kirolabs and its contributors are not liable for examination outcomes, decisions made in practice, loss of study data, interrupted access, indirect damages, consequential damages or losses arising from reliance on the app. Nothing excludes liability that cannot legally be excluded or limited.

13. TERMINATION

You may stop using the app at any time. We may restrict access where necessary to protect the app, its content, users or third-party services from misuse, fraud or unlawful activity.

14. CHANGES TO THESE TERMS

We may update these terms as the app, law, examinations or third-party services change. The “Last updated” date will be revised. Continued use after an update means you accept the revised terms.
