Tummy Tuck in Beverly Hills – Los Angeles, CA – Abdominoplasty
After pregnancy, weight loss, or simply due to aging, many individuals struggle with excess skin and fat around the abdomen, along with diminished muscle tone. An abdominoplasty, commonly known as a "tummy tuck," effectively addresses these issues for both women and men, resulting in an improved body contour and a smoother abdominal shape.
During the tummy tuck procedure, an incision is made along the "bikini" or "boxer" line below the abdomen, which helps conceal the scar beneath clothing.

Excess skin and fat are removed, and the underlying muscles are tightened. The skin is then redraped to enhance body shape, and often, the belly button is repositioned within the newly contoured abdomen. For some candidates, a "mini abdominoplasty" may be an option, offering similar results with shorter scars. Additionally, tummy tucks can be combined with liposuction, arm lifts, or thigh lifts for further body contouring. Your surgeon at Rodeo Drive Plastic Surgery will work with you to create a personalized surgical plan that meets your specific needs.
All of our tummy tuck procedures feature the Rodeo Drive Belly Button™, recently highlighted on KTLA Morning News. Discover what makes the Rodeo Drive Belly Button™ unique. Our tummy tucks can also be part of the Rodeo Drive Mommy Makeover™, which was recently featured in The Los Angeles Times.
Consultation Process
During your consultation at Rodeo Drive Plastic Surgery, your plastic surgeon will assess your condition and discuss the best type of abdominoplasty for optimal results. The procedure is typically performed as an outpatient surgery, with recovery either at a specialized overnight care center or at home, often with the assistance of a private duty nurse. It is conducted under general anesthesia administered by a physician anesthesiologist to ensure your comfort.
Most patients report minimal pain after surgery, thanks to long-acting local anesthetics used during the procedure. Most individuals can return to work within ten to fourteen days. Your surgeon may use drains to eliminate excess fluid, which might remain in place for several days post-surgery. Expect some bruising for about a week and swelling for a few weeks following the procedure.
