In the fields of algebraic geometry and commutative algebra, research interests lie in mathematical models related to problems of both pure and applied nature, focusing in particular on the decomposition of tensors and the study of secant varieties. The latter find numerous applications in various more theoretical branches of science, such as computational complexity theory, quantum computing or computer science, but also in more applied areas, such as numerical signal processing, bioinformatics or spectroscopy.
"Just because we can't find a solution it doesn't mean that there isn't one."
