Keeping a record of your 4-H activities is one of the most valuable skills you can gain through the Texas 4-H program. Record-keeping helps members track their projects, set goals, work toward achievements, and reflect on their progress each year through the completion of a Texas 4-H Record Book. More importantly, it teaches lifelong skills like organization, responsibility, and goal setting. Beyond 4-H, record books also prepare youth for real-world opportunities such as scholarships, college applications, and future careers.
For the 2025–2026 year, several helpful resources are available to guide members through the process, including updates on Record Book changes, the Family Guide, score sheets (PDF and Word), category information, forms, and additional project resources—including a Spanish project list and a self-directed project guide.
