The 4-H Fashion Show gives youth a chance to shine by applying the skills they’ve learned in the Fashion and Interior Design project. It promotes creativity, personal style, and practical knowledge in areas like fabric selection, sewing, sustainable fashion, and smart shopping. Participants also develop confidence, poise, and professionalism as they present their unique designs, preparing them for success both now and in the future.

The 4-H Storyboard is an industry-inspired method of displaying original designs. The storyboard “tells the story” of the designer’s idea. The storyboard includes original illustrations, flats, and more to promote the design. Now an Invitational contest for Senior members!
Fashion Storyboard Categories:
At the Food Show you choose a recipe from the contest categories and then prepare and present it to a panel of judges. During your interview with the judges, you will show how you prepared it, the nutrients and ingredients, personal dietary needs, healthy substitutions, and a cost analysis.

At the Food Challenge, teams of 3-4 students receive a list of ingredients and have 40 minutes to create a dish. The teams then present their dish to judges are scored on preparation, serving size, food safety concerns, nutritional value and cost. Students qualify at the country and district level to compete at the state contest. Review all the rules in the Food Challenge Manual.

The 4-H Talent Showcase is a competitive event where members can shine through theater and performance arts! It provides youth with the chance to build a spirit of cooperation with fellow 4-H members, gain self-confidence through public performance, and spark creativity and recreation within their clubs.
