After dissecting the person's profile, it's ultimately up to you whether you want to "match" with the person your friends recommend.
But before you freak out at the prospect of handing over your dating life to your mates, Ship still allows you to have total control over your personal profile.

New Jersey Sen. Cory Booker revealed he is dating somebody “really special” to him as he leaps into the 2020 presidential race.
Booker, 49, appeared on “The Breakfast Club,” a nationally syndicated radio show on Power 105.1, on Tuesday to discuss his campaign. The Democratic presidential hopeful was asked about any special ladies in his life -- he confirmed there is one.
“How much of the presidential candidate’s personal life factor into people’s decision because people feel like you being single could affect your chances?” host Charlamagne tha God asked Booker.
“I think if Donald Trump is elected president, at this point with the personal life he has, then anybody can,” Booker responded.
“You would be the third single president I think?” Charlamagne tha god asked.
“First of all, there’s two more years until I might fulfill this duty, so give me some time,” Booker responded. “My girlfriend might listen to this.”
“You don’t want to marry somebody now?” the host said.
Booker reiterated that before he launched his campaign, he began dating someone that’s “really special.”
“Oh, so Cory Booker got a boo?” Charlamagne tha God asked.
“I got a boo,” Booker said with a laugh.
“Would she make a nice first lady, whoever she is?” the host asked.
“Yes, she would,” Booker answered.
“Oh, so whoever this special person is someone you may potentially marry one day?” Charlamagne tha God asked.
“What have we gotten myself into right now?” Booker said with a laugh. “All of the issues we talked about, this is the most uncomfortable part of this interview.”
Booker concluded saying he was “ready to serve.”

Last month, Page Six reported that Booker was linked to actress Rosario Dawson. The two were spotted at the hit Broadway show “Dear Evan Hansen,” the media outlet reported.
Booker announced his presidential bid last Friday. Before he was elected to the Senate, he served as the mayor of Newark from 2006 until 2013.

Update, 12/13: The New York Times just did a profile on Cory Booker and Rosario Dawson's relationship, and the details are honestly just too cute. A few snippets:

They talk every day and he reads to her over the phone (swoon!): "Mr. Booker famously reads her books over the phone, and sometimes leaves the day’s passage on voice mail, as he goes page by page. They’re currently working their way through 'Welcome to the Monkey House,' a selection of short stories by Kurt Vonnegut. 'The first story we read, it’s a romance story about a bumbling guy reaching for a woman well out of his league,' Mr. Booker said of the short story 'EPICAC' in the Vonnegut book. 'That was his choice,' Ms. Dawson said, as they both started giggling. 'He was like, I know the first one to start with.'"
He also comes to her film premieres like Zombieland , leaves her snacks at the front desk when she comes in, and mentions her regularly in his speeches. Aaaand I'm in love with this couple all over again.
Update, 10/30: In more delightful news if you happen to be a Booker-Dawson fan, Booker just gave an interview to Cosmopolitan in which he gave us more behind-the-scenes looks at his super-strong relationship with his girlfriend. When asked what his favorite book was: "Well, first of all, City of Thieves was a really good book, and maybe that’s the one that has the best memories because my girlfriend and I shared that together, so I’ll stick with that."
When Jessica Pels noted that he and Dawson are both Tauruses (which is often a bad thing, as that sign can be stubborn): "Well, she had somebody that did our charts for her. It was very specific, that I guess we’re very different signs but we complement each other very well, our personalities. She keeps me grounded. She doesn’t let me take myself too seriously. She thinks I’m really corny, but she thinks it’s really adorable. But we just definitely have personalities I think that resonate like a symphony and not a cacophony, so I feel very, very lucky. I don’t know if that has anything to do with our stars or just the fact that I feel like the luckiest guy on the planet Earth."
On songs he has on repeat: "On the days that I’m not with Rosario waking up, I send her a song every morning, which she is merciless in telling me whether she likes it or not."

Update, 10/14: Ooooh this is a fun one! Dawson has continued to post adorable Instagram images and video of Booker, and one of the posts gave us exact insight into when their anniversary is and how they spent it.
Technically, Dawson posted the anniversary message very very late in the day of October 13. She captioned the photo, of them just chilling in front of the couch, "Near or far I’ve never been or felt so connected. I love our daily communications. The creativity with which we find ways to share and express unconditional love despite distance and these busy times. I celebrate you and all that you do and am grateful for the myriad ways our love lifts us both. It’s been an incredible rotation around the sun. I look forward to exploring more of this life journey with you." It's really, really cute.
Also, the pair was initially spotted in January 2019, so now we know that they'd been dating for a FULL three months before then and successfully managed to hide it from everyone until they were ready to go public. Way to go, guys.

Oh, hi! Did we elect a new president yet? No? Okay, just checking, because the amount of political news at the moment is so overwhelming, it can be hard to keep up. Cosmo is working to help you choose between candidates by inviting everyone to our HQ to ask about things you actually care about, and the latest victim presidential hopeful is none other than Cory Booker. Booker talked to Cosmo Editor-in-Chief Jessica Pels about reproductive freedom, education reform, and vegan fast food. This guy! But wait, isn’t this the candidate who’s swinging single? Or didn’t we hear he had a girlfriend?
So Cory Booker is one of the very few candidates who is not married and doesn’t have children. Which is refreshing, since that really wasn’t a thing, like, 10 years ago. What's even more exciting than singledom, however, is the fact that he’s in a long-term relationship with none other than actress Rosario Dawson.
The two apparently met at a political event (shocking!) way back in October 2017, but they didn’t hit it off right away. In fact, according to Booker, “She didn’t give me the time of day.” But then in March 2019, Booker said the following at a CNN Town Hall:
So we met again, and I had one of those really awkward experiences. I’m a United States senator, and I had to get up the courage to walk up to her and ask her for her phone number. And this doesn’t make me nervous, but that made me nervous.
And how serious is it now? Well, he shared some new deets during his Cosmo visit that certainly put it into perspective. When senior editor Jessica Goodman asked him about how he could be the first unmarried man to be elected president since 1885, he got candid.

I— can we talk? I need some lifestyle tips on that. I got thoroughly mocked in the media, because I like to read. Reading is, like, my thing.”
Even though people dragged him for it, he and Rosario will keep reading, TYVM. “I’m excited to do Welcome to the Monkey House with her,” he said. “That’s the next book. And she and I are both kind of sci-fi-y buffs. She’s one of the few actors—this is a trivia question—that’s been both in the DC universe and the Marvel universe. Yes, she’s pretty. she’s bi-universal."
Additionally, before senior editor Ashley Oerman could ask Cory a question about sex education, he zeroed in on her wedding ring and asked for proposal tips.
“Did you know it was coming? Because I’m a big believer in surprises,” he said, later admitting that he’s “very worried about the whole ring part.”
Rosario, by the way, has confirmed to TMZ that she is indeed dating the New Jersey senator. Can we just say that we think Rosario would make a great First Lady? Rosario Dawson 's all in on Cory Booker for President in 2020, but she might be a little biased . because she just confirmed with us . they're in a serious, loving relationship.
The actress was at the Reagan National Airport in D.C. Thursday when our guy quizzed her on what's been widely rumored -- she's the woman Booker referred to last month on the Breakfast Club when he said he was dating someone very special, while adding, "I got a boo."
It didn't take much prodding before Dawson said it was true and began gushing over her man, calling him an amazing human being and saying their relationship is a wonderful thing.
She continued . "I am just grateful to be with someone that I respect and love and admire so much," and added several more doting words to describe the presidential hopeful.
Speaking of that . Rosario says Cory would be an amazing Prez, and she's pushing him with a campaign button.
As for whether wedding bells are on the horizon, making her potential First Lady material . she's not quite ready to say.

We know this because Sen. Cory Booker has mentioned both several times and not because he wanted to address the issue of his sexuality or who he’s dating; it just keeps coming up.
Over and over again.
“I’m heterosexual,” Booker said in a December interview with the Philadelphia Inquirer , because of rumors that Booker, an unmarried man with a powerful position in Congress, must be gay.
Booker added: “Every candidate should run on their authentic self, tell their truth, and more importantly, or mostly importantly, talk about their vision for the country.”
But America doesn’t want to hear about this, they just want to know if the rumors that Booker is reportedly dating actress Rosario Dawson are true. Hell, the Washington Examiner has already posited what a great first lady she’d make and Booker just declared that he’s running for president last week!
During an interview Tuesday with Power 105.1's nationally syndicated radio show The Breakfast Club , Booker again had to talk about his love life because that’s where we are as a country. We don’t care about his public policy or his voting record or how hard he went during Brett “I Like Beer! I Still Like Beer!” Kavanaugh’s Supreme Court nomination.
Nope, everyone wants to talk about Booker’s love life.
“First of all, there’s two more years until I might fulfill this duty. So give me some time. My girlfriend’s probably listening to this,” Booker said when talking about his being a bachelor.
“You don’t want to marry somebody now,” Charlamagne Tha God quipped back. “Once you start getting hot, you might become president. She might just want you for that.”
“Before I’m declared president, I’m dating somebody that’s really special to me,” Booker said, The Hill reports.
“Oh, so Cory Booker’s got a boo?” the radio host asked.
“I got a boo,” Booker, 49, said with a chuckle.
So there you have it, Booker’s got a boo. But we really have to get past this notion of involving ourselves inside a politician’s private life. Dating is the right of the unmarried. It’s an earned and inherent Constitutional right. I think it’s the amendment that is right after “thou shalt not worry about how another man or woman spends their nights.”
And all of this has to do with the Obamas, and I totally get it. The Obamas were black America’s first royal family, and because they were both so stunningly amazing and personable and effortlessly cool and unapologetically black, we want that again, but that will never happen again. Never. Life doesn’t work like that. Black lighting doesn’t strike twice.
Unless Jay or Beyoncé run for office, I don’t see it happening.
But that didn’t stop the hosts of The Breakfast Club from wondering aloud whether this mystery woman would make a good first lady. To which Booker replied, “Yes, she would.”
The host did entertain the idea that a candidate’s personal life shouldn’t factor into how they might govern. C o-host Angela Yee said, “It didn’t affect Donald Trump and the terrible things he’s done in his personal life, and he still managed to be president.”
“I was about to say,” Booker interjected. “I think that if Donald Trump can get elected president at this point with the personal life that he has, then anybody [can],” The Hill reports.
Even Booker had to note that talking about his relationship made him a little bit uncomfortable.
“What have we gotten myself into right now?” he exclaimed. “[Of] all the issues we talked about, this is the most uncomfortable part of this interview.”
And it should be because it’s none of our business. Unless he’s dating Rihanna because I think she’d make a fabulous first lady.

So there you have it, Booker’s got a boo. But we really have to get past this notion of involving ourselves inside a politician’s private life. Dating is the right of the unmarried. It’s an earned and inherent Constitutional right. I think it’s the amendment that is right after “thou shalt not worry about how another man or woman spends their nights.”
I’m with you on the not casting aspersions on people for not being married part, but the personal lives of any Presidential candidate or any serious contender for a major party’s nomination matter. They’re campaigning to lead 330 million people. They can tell us about who they’re with.
Pointing out Donald Trump’s many personal foibles as some sort of evidence that it doesn’t matter is . kind of lame? We absolutely 100% positively can and should hold Donald Trump’s atrocious personal behavior against him, and it absolutely serves as a solid chunk of the evidence of his unfitness for office and also circumstantially that it’s completely and totally believable he would lie about doing awful things.
And pointing to the fact that his followers were willing to overlook his appalling personal behavior is whataboutism of the highest order, because the fact that groups like evangelicals were willing to overlook his raw-sewage like immorality because they want control of the SCOTUS is absolutely a mark against them as well.
We deserve to know about things like John Edwards’ love child. A man willing to do something like that and who attempts to hide it from his wife is capable of a truly monstrous degree of deception and we would have been fuckwits to trust him with the leadership of our country. Not to mention the fact that this puts him at risk of being blackmailed. That’s another one of the big marks against Trump, at least in my book. His willingness to go along with Putin might be born out of the fact that Putin has something over him.
This person’s going to be the President. Now I’m all about us not needing to know how regular they are or whether they prefer to get it missionary style or to be pegged by a furry while wearing a latex mask and a chastity cage, but it’s totally fine to ask about his dating life to know who he’s dating.

In a “very, very sweet” and improvised moment on Saturday while attending Dear Evan Hansen on Broadway, Rosario Dawson briefly serenaded New Jersey Sen. Cory Booker during a cast meet-and-greet, telling him, “I love you,” an onlooker confirms to PEOPLE.
The source says Dawson sang, “I love you, te amo” — Spanish for “I love you” — to Booker in an “impromptu, made-up-on-the-spot” tune.
According to Page Six, which first reported the news, the two were meeting the cast after the show.
The 39-year-old actress and the politician, 49, were joined by two special little guests: Booker’s niece and Dawson’s daughter, Lola. While it was Booker’s second time seeing the show, it was Dawson’s first — and the first-ever Broadway production for Lola, according to the source.
Dawson and Booker, whose relationship status is unclear, weren’t physically affectionate with each other, the source says. “But they were … a very effusive bunch, hugging every cast member, telling each one specific things about each performance, [being] really personable.”
Dawson also seemed to have a rapport with Booker’s niece, according to the source.
This isn’t the first time Dawson and Booker have enjoyed each other’s company in recent days, Page Six reported: They attended a movie together on Thursday in New York City.
The two have known each other for years, according to Page Six (and they seem to be fans of one another’s social media: each follows the other on Instagram and recently re-posted the same tweet to their Instagram Stories).

Actor Rosario Dawson confirmed on Thursday that she is definitely in a relationship with Sen. Cory Booker, a Democratic presidential hopeful for the 2020 race, finally putting rumors to bed about whether or not the two were an item.
"Yes, very much so," Dawson said while walking through Reagan National Airport in Washington, DC, when asked by a TMZ reporter if she were dating Booker.
When asked how the two were getting along so far, Dawson had nothing but glowing things to say about Booker.
"So far, so wonderful," she said.

Last month on Power 105.1's The Breakfast Club , Booker played coy, saying he had "a boo," though he didn't reveal any names.
Booker did say that he was dating someone "really special" and was adamant that she would make a great first lady.
The same thing happened when Booker appeared on BuzzFeed News' AM to DM in February. Booker was asked what activities he and Dawson enjoy when they go out, but the senator didn't fall for the bait.
"Wow, that is a set up if I've ever heard one," Booker said before answering the question. The politician still didn't name Dawson, but said he enjoys eating good food and seeing a good film when going out.
In the 2016 election, Dawson was a full-on Bernie Sanders supporter. Sanders has said he will run again in 2020, but Dawson is now fully behind Booker.
"I think so, yeah. He's an amazing human being," Dawson told TMZ when asked if Booker would make a great president.
If you think the couple is preparing to go to the altar, that's up in the air. Dawson said she has "no idea" if wedding bells are in their near future.
"I am just grateful to be with someone that I respect and love and admire so much who is so brilliant and kind and caring and loving," she said.
A spokesperson for Booker's office did not immediately respond to BuzzFeed News' request for comment.
