The palace was donated in 1968 by Count Lorenzo Passerini to the Scuola Normale Superiore di Pisa.

By train
Cortona is served by two train stations:
Terontola-Cortona, on the Florence-Rome railway line, at about 10km to the town center.
Camucia-Cortona, on the Terontola-Perugia-Assisi-Terni railway line, at about 5km to the town center.

Both stations are connected to the center of Cortona with a public bus service, which runs more frequently during working days.
