The closest international airport is in Florence (FLR). Also Rome airports (FCO and CIA) are not far. Additionally, also Bologna airport (BLQ) and Pisa airport (PSA) are not too far away. You might also consider checking the small airport in Perugia (PEG), which is the closest airport to Cortona, but it has very few flights.

The nearest train station to Palazzone or to Cortona is "Camucia - Cortona". There is also another train station which is relatively close: its name is "Terontola - Cortona". We recommend using Trenitalia to check train options and book your train tickets. Local slow-ish trains ("regionale") in Italy have a fixed price, so there is no need to buy the ticket in advance.

Once you arrive at the station to Camucia - Cortona, the city centre of Cortona and Palazzone are 3km (uphill, so a taxi might be the best option).  The number of the local taxi provider is  +39 0575 087542. They do not take reservations and instead the recommendation is to call about 30 min before you arrive.

Access to the Palazzone is from 8:30. For those staying in the Palazzone and arriving on Sunday, check-in is possible between 16 and 18.
