Eligibility
Check eligibility criteria of the PhD program. Preference will be given for a B.Tech/M.Tech holder in Metallurgical/Materials Engineering.
Stipend/Fellowship
Once joined the program, the scholar has the following options for funding support.
Option 1:
UGC Fellowship: All scholars will get Rs. 8000 stipend per month + Rs. 10000 contingency per annum from UGC.
Option 2:
AICTE Doctoral Fellowship: If selected, in each batch of admission, one scholar from Ph.D Materials Engineering and one from Ph.D. Nano Science and Technology can get this fellowship. The fellowship will be Rs. 31,000/- per month for the first two years followed by Rs. 35,000/- per month for the third year. +24% HRA. Click here to know more
Option 3:
Project staff: If the PhD supervisor has a project, subject to selection through a standard selection procedure for a project staff, the scholar can be supported with a monthly salary comparable to AICTE Doctoral fellowship.
Option 4:
PMRF: With a right eligibility, if the scholar wishes, he/she can propose a project in consultation with the guide(s), for Prime Minister's Research Fellowship in the first year. If selected, the scholar will get a Rs. 10 Lakhs worth of funding over 5 years, towards research expenditure, in addition to a starting fellowship of Rs. 70, 000 per month.

Option 5:
Savitribai Jyotirao Phule Fellowship for Single Girl Child: With a right eligibility (mainly the scholar should be a female and single child), if the scholar wishes, she can apply for this fellowship in the first year. If selected, the scholar will get Rs. 31,000 per month for the first two years and Rs. 35,000 for the remaining tenure. In addition, the scholar will get a contingency of Rs. 12,000 per annum for the first two years and Rs. 25,000 per annum for the remaining tenure. Click here to know more

Eligibility: As per the eligibility criteria of the PhD program. However, preference will be given for a B.Tech/M.Tech holder in Metallurgical/Materials Engineering. Once admitted and happens to work in Corteks group, the scholar has three options for the PhD program
Option 1:
To work in the project Computational thermodynamics aided design and development of immiscible high-entropy alloys.
Salary: The PhD scholar appointed in the work will get a salary of Rs. 25000+24% HRA per month at the level of Project Associate-I, provided the candidate is found suitable in the Project Associate interview.
Option 2:
If the scholar wishes to work in any other project he/she will get Rs. 8000 stipend per month + Rs. 10000 contingency per annum from UGC.
Option 3:
With a right eligibility, if the scholar wishes he/she can propose a project in consultation with the guide(s), for Prime Minister's Research Fellowship in the first year. If selected, the scholar will get a Rs. 10 Lakhs worth of funding over 5 years, towards research expenditure, in addition to a starting fellowship of Rs. 70, 000 per month.
