Welcome back ladies, a special welcome to our members who were not able to curl last season, and to all our new reserves..
A big well done to Helen F, our new secretary on producing her first curling schedule booklet and another big well done to Helen M, for swapping our bank account and saving us fees.
Curl Edinburgh are planning a new 'sticks and stones' league for those who play with sticks, if your are interested in taking part pop in and see Andy in the office.
Remember our two summer outings....
Summer golf outing on 21st May at Ravelston Golf Club
Summer outing to 4th June at Surgeons Hall - Blood and Guts tour
The trophy for the Closing bonspiel was won by Carolyn and her team finishing 6 shots up - spookly Carolyn won the Christmas bonspiel too. We will need to watch out for her in the Opening bonspiel next season.
Well done to Maggie and her team for winning the 2nd league. The competition was fierce and was decided in the final match between Maggie and Avril's team, which resulted in a peel and Maggie won the league by 2 points.
Congratulations to Maggie and Avril who won the Low road of the Sellar along with their team mates Catherine Dodds and Gill Florence. Well done girls!
Our two teams who took part in the Midlothian Province Bonspiel skipped by Gill Black and Helen Ferry won their games. Our first was against Watsonians and the second against Stewart Melville FP. We unfortunately did not have enough 'shots up' to win the trophy!!
Our Thirds competition kicks off on Wednesday 22nd so check out your new team before we take to the ice at 9.30
Congratulations to Carolyn Tough who skipped the winning team in the Edinburgh Henderson Bishop this year. She and her team will be off to Dumfries to represent Edinburgh and compete with winning teams from the other rinks. Good luck ladies.
Remember our game on Wednesday 13th November is at 9.30. Set your alarm clock 30 mins earlier than normal !
Congratulations to Ruth and Margaret from CLCC who won the Presidents Pitcher along with Katherine Dodds and Jill Florence - well done girls
