Darnell continued to run from "them" until, exhausted, he decided to take a break. Then, Neon appeared before him, and, powerless to escape, Darnell had no choice but to fight.

At that moment, GF briefly regained consciousness and teleported Whitty and BF to somewhere else, then held on to her senses as best she could. Then, a familiar silhouette began to appear before her. It was none other than her mother, "Mearest." Strangely, Mearest, who had been corrupted just moments before, appeared in front of her in perfect health. Mom said to GF, "My daughter..." GF couldn't figure out how Mom was in front of her, but soon realized that Mearest was fine because she was hallucinating. Mom continued to pressure and attack GF, and GF resisted, eventually curing Mearest of some of the infection. However, she soon realized that even that was just a false sense of hope, a hallucination, and GF slowly became infected again in the hallucination and lost consciousness.
