Ms. Hudson

By Savannah W.

Ms. Hudson has been working in the San Diego Unified School District for 23 years but has only been teaching in the district for 19 years. She has been teaching at Correia for 16 years. Ms. Hudson loves teaching because she likes to have connections with all of her students. Ms. Hudson’s favorite grade to teach is seventh and eighth grade. She has taught many things including English, World History, Theatre, Journalism, AVID, Seminar, and 7th-grade ALD. Before she even came to this school she taught Kindergarten, 3rd grade, 2nd grade, and 9th grade English. Ms. Huson loves teaching 7th and 8th grade English and ALD but she says that she really misses teaching history. Ms. Hudson thinks that if we were to stop and listen to each other then we could push each other to be better in school and in life. The way that Ms. Huson realized that she wanted to be a teacher is that her mom and dad were both teachers and she saw a lot of kids who needed help. Her family took in a total of 15 foster and adopted kids when she was growing up. That's when she realized that the way to help kids was to teach them in school. After she retires from teaching Ms. Huson would like to write children novels.
