Mr. Buckell

There are many great teachers here at Correia, one of them being Mr. Buckell, a history teacher at Correia Middle. He was born and raised in Northern California and moved to San Diego in 1984. Mr. Buckell was inspired by the great teachers that taught him to be a better person. He grew up with many memorable moments, including nearly being hit by a gigantic volcano at only 13 years old. If he won a million dollars he would go on a trip around the world with his kids because he loves spending time with them. When he is not teaching or grading assignments, he is spending time with his loved ones.

Mr. Buckell wanted to be just like the influential teachers he had when he grew up. As of this year, he has been teaching for 27 years in between two schools. Mr. Buckell enjoys learning and sharing the knowledge he has with his students. Despite this love for learning, he claims to struggle with keeping things motivational and exciting for students. If he could give advice to kids, whether they be Correia students or not, he would say to be the best you can and never give up.
