A Typical day at corpus christi

7:45am - 8:30am

We provide a breakfast club for those parents who choose to use it. It is a Pay-As-You-Go facility and payments can be made via ParentPay. Children can enter the school at 7:45 where they will be provided with breakfast. This usually consists of cereal,We provide a breakfast club for those parents who choose to use it. It is a Pay-As-You-Go facility and payments can be made via ParentPay. The children are provided with a breakfast of cereal, toast, baked beans, milk or juice. The children are then dismissed from the hall to their classrooms at 8:30am when lessons begin. The cost of this is £2.75 per child.

8:30am - 8:45am

The gates to the playground are open and children can begin entering the school building. The gates to the playgrund close at 8:45am.

8:45am

The first session of lessons begin. Because we are a school with two classes per year group we need to stagger the times of our break times - playtimes last for 15 minutes.

10:10am - 10:25am

Reception, Year 1 & Year 2

10:30am - 10:45am

Year 3 & Year 4

11:10am - 11:25am

Year 5 & Year 6 [Year 5 & 6 will typically cover two session before breaktime]

Lunchtimes

Lunchtimes are also staggered which means that our youngest children have their dinners first at approximately 11:45am and the eldest in years 5&6 have theirs between 12:30pm and 12:45pm

Afternoons

Our afternoons typically consist of two sessions. The children in Reception, Year 1 & Year 2 have an afternoon break at 2pm and the end of the school day is 3pm.

The school day is 6.5 hours long and the total length of time your child is in school in a typical week is for 32.5 hours
