We recently had our schools shut down because of COVID-19 (AKA Coronavirus). It happened March 15, 2020. Today is my first day, and I will upload content daily. I will be doing so for the next 4 weeks until April. Starting tomorrow, we will receive work daily to fill in our school work. I will upload more content in between 12:00 PM and 1:45 PM daily starting today. After, I forget to upload, so I am late. But I did come back. According to Google News (news.google.com) more than half of American jobs are at risk because of the coronavirus. If the coronavirus gets any worse, Cuomo may shut down all worldwide businesses (just in NY) and personal businesses. If he does so, they will be unable to pay their car payments, let alone house payments. Like I said my school has already been shut down for 4 weeks. After. Hi, sorry I'm late, but on the 17th, Justin Trudeau (Canada: Prime Minister) and Donald Trump decided to shut down the border between us and Canada (Google News). According to CDC (Center for Disease Control), New York itself has 5,000+ cases of COVID-19. If you want to know how to prepare yourself, I will provide a little bit, but for the rest go to https://www.cdc.gov/coronavirus/2019-ncov/prepare/index.html. Symptoms may include: fever, cough, and shortness of breath. Severe symptoms may include: trouble breathing, persistent pain and/or pressure in your chest, confusion or inability to arouse, and bluish lips or face. If you are over the age of 60, you are more vulnerable to get worse symptoms or if you have underlying health conditions. The best way to prevent the virus is by staying at least 6 feet away from everyone because the virus mainly spreads person-to-person. Wash your hands often for 30 seconds. If soap and water are not available, use hand sanitizer with at least 60% alcohol. Also, try to avoid people who already have a cold or the influenza (or flu), or any other common sickness (especially coronavirus). IMPORTANT: IF YOU ARE SICK, STAY HOME AT ALL TIMES!!!! Cover your coughs and/or sneezes with your elbow and wash your hands afterwards. If you are sick, wear a face mask and do not go out in public and that will reduce your chances of getting COVID-19. Clean and disinfect frequently touched surfaces once or twice a week. Wash your coats and backpacks for your safety. Also: if you have any packages don't touch them for at least 3 days because Amazon employees have tested positive for COVID-19. To know more go to cdc.gov/coronavirus or google.com/coronavirus. Unfortunately, I might be unable to post Tuesday due to special occasions. It is Tuesday and it is also before I can cancel uploading content for the day. I went to CDC (cdc.gov) again and there was a map (URL: https://www.cdc.gov/coronavirus/2019-ncov/index.html) and if you go there and scroll to the bottom and hover over NY, you'll see that we have 15,168 cases of COVID-19 in our state. Even scarier, we have two people tested positive for the disease. Not in Fulton, but in Oswego County, which I think is worse because they could be anywhere in Oswego County. If they were in Fulton, we would know that they'd only be in Fulton. That's all for now. If you haven't already gotten the email, I coded a guessing game and if you click Control U it will show you the code and if you click the blue links, it will show you the other two pages of code it took. Here is the link: http://www.cs.oswego.edu/~msmith5/OliverSmith/guessingGame.HTML. If that link is not blue for you, you can copy it (highlight it and Control C) and paste it (Control V) into your address bar. Sorry that I'm very late, but NY's cases have risen very high, but now they're starting to drop. Not rapidly, bu good enough. This is happening because of social distancing. Thanks for staying socially distanced!
