Sports
Football continues to dominate the fixture list. Unfortunately we had several basketball and badminton matches cancelled.
Cornwallis are organising the table tennis tournaments which will be held next term.
Gender
The boys still dominate the sports representation with over three quarters of fixtures; however, a Maidstone District meeting was held this week to address this. Let’s hope it improves.
Year Group
The 6th form has dominated the number of fixtures with a mixture of senior football, rugby and senior girls football. This will even out later in the year when exam year groups will be more focussed on the assessments.
Results
Improving participation is the first goal and once we have established this, the winning percentage is what we are looking to improve as a department. This shift can take a few years to develop.
Staff involvement
Most staff have been involved although further delegation will occur in the Summer for other staff to get more involved.
